We didn't feel the quake, nor any of the 10,000 aftershocks, which really surprised me. It's not that big an island. I'm very happy to be home, and will never again take for granted the ability to turn on the tap and pour myself a glass of water. The people of Haiti are going through an even bigger hell than their everyday existence, which was pretty shitty to begin with. I have no idea how they will recover as a nation.
