Another irritant: people who go through the express aisle and split their purchases so they have to pay twice, or do some other dumbass thing like taking 10 minutes to count out change to pay. I’d agree with Carol that most people are inconsiderate idiots…

People with kids aren’t the only idiots. I was in a long line the other day behind a woman who proceeded to have a 10 minute conversation with the cashier about religion. I have come to the conclusion that most people are inconsiderate idiots. Although, this is possibly being fueled by the fact that I am 8+ months pregnant and just a little moody.

OMG- my favorite is when parents let their kids “scan” their groceries at the self checkout. Yeah, that speeds up the process! There should be a book that is given to parents when they have a child entitled “Get your kid the F*ck Away From Me: A Single Person’s Request to Parents”!

My favorite is when the child loudly announces to the entire line behind them their parent’s PIN number as they’re punching it in. That’s right kid, invite someone to steal your Mom’s card and all of the money in her account. Way to go!

As if shopping at Walmart wasnt enough of a horrific experience, I got stuck behind a woman in Kewanee right after they installed those self-check lanes who was letting her 5 year old scan AN ENTIRE CART OF GROCERIES!!!!!! As you can imagine, the kid was practically moving backwards he was soooooo slow, and his mother was perfectly content to just hold up the whole line while her kid amused himself at everyone else’s expense. None of the attendants did anything to put a stop to it, so when I got home, I called the store and laid into the manager. He promised me he would instruct his people to watch for that kind of thing and keep it from happening in the future. I told him they need to make the self check lanes express only. I hate Walmart. Thank God I don’t have to deal with them in Chicago.
